Room hire for functions

The hire of the main building consists of the following time slots: 9am ~5pm OR 6pm ~ midnight other timings may be accommodated by arrangement ~ see Room Hire [active link]

Full payment is required on booking, together with a separate payment of £150 for a household deposit.

CONFERENCES AND FUNCTIONS:

We can cater for conferences of up to 100 people.  This includes the main rooms and meals.

Accommodation

The Centre buildings consist of a the Great Barn which seats 80 guests with a low stage at one end; this area can provide seating for another 14 people; a large adjoining Lounge and a Dining Room and fully equipped kitchen along a short corridor.  The Dining Room can seat 50 guests comfortably.  The Centre has brown dining chairs and rectangular tables for your use but you may hire alternative furniture if you wish.  The cobbled courtyard outside the Centre is also available for your use but all other areas are private rounds.  As well as hiring tables and chairs you are free to decorate the rooms as you wish with flowers, balloons etc.

Bookings are only ever taken singly so that all the public rooms of the Centre are for your own use only.

Our fire regulations mean that the total number of guests in the building must not exceed 120.  The Centre is a no-smoking area and guests who wish to smoke must do so out of doors and place cigarette ends in the containers provided.

Catering

Catering arrangements are made by the hirers ~ the kitchen, with fridge and freezer space, cooking and washing up facilities, is available for your use.  Crockery, glasses, cooking utensils and containers etc. should be provided by your caterers.

The Centre reserves the right to veto any caterer not on the recommended list ~ please see useful contacts [active link].  If you are hiring a mobile bar, the bar must close at 11.30pm.  Late licences are not permitted.  The bar should be set up in the foyer which has a stone floor and good access to the kitchen and power points etc.

Music

Any sort of music is acceptable in the Centre but must finish at midnight.  This is in deference to our neighbours living next door to the Centre.    Guests are asked to respect the peace and quiet of the occupants of the cottages in the vicinity of the Centre and to vacate the Centre by 1am.

Cleaning

A returnable household deposit of £150 is required on booking.  This deposit will be returned in full or part only if the Centre is left in a condition which satisfies the Centre management.  It is the hirer’s responsibility to ensure that all cans, bottles, decorations and rubbish from the event are removed from the Centre before departure and that the Centre is left as found.

Cancellation

Under normal circumstances payments are non-refundable.

Booking Conditions:

  1. Bookings are held on a provisional basis only until the completed booking form and payment are received
  2. All breakages, damage to property or effects – excepting normal wear and tear – and missing items, will be charged for at current repair or replacement costs.
  3. Visitors are responsible for their own security while occupying the Centre and no liability will be accepted for personal property lost, damaged or stolen.
  4. All the Centre buildings are no smoking areas
